Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the best ways to upgrade your gear without relying upon big-ticket drops or trade. This article will teach you how to upgrade your gear.
Upgrades to equipment provide an additional bonus to the item's stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component's level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components are the items that make your weapons and armor better. You can locate them by destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in items-spheres. You can also get them from equipment that contains the components, or by utilizing salvage kits of high-end quality, such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed by removing them from the item.
The main function of upgrade components is to allow an item to be upgraded, however, they also serve other functions. They can be stacked to boost the level or the amount of experience gained by upgrading equipment or weapons. They can also be made to give additional bonuses. A glyph that is crafted can boost the chances of upgrading its target, while an upgrade boosts the defense or attack capabilities of a weapon.
You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will show the upgrade components to which the item can be upgraded. You can also utilize the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components have been gathered.
Each component has a distinct experience multiplier, which determines how much more experience an item will gain when it is upgraded with the component. For instance, organic components offer more experience multipliers than mechanical ones. It is therefore recommended to upgrade with organic components until you reach the experience multiplier of the next rank of equipment or weapon, and then switch to mechanical upgrades.
Each item has an upgrade limit number that is available for. The number of upgrades is determined by the upgradeable rank and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon that is 10th level. However, the most popular upgrade for weapons is the tier 6 weapon and an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a collection of items that have a bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once, and the upgrade increases its guaranteed bonuses. The first time you upgrade a set piece or weapon is that it will be given a +1 increase to its primary stat. Following upgrades, the primary stats are boosted even further (for instance, +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats is increased randomly.
Upgrading a weapon can also increase the damage base, which could be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons are not upgraded to have a greater defense base than their regular base. It's possible to increase the value of certain set and unique items by upgrading them, but they might not always be superior to a higher-level Runeword.
If an item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus, it can be rerolled only once, and then its guarantee will reset to 0. Rerolling is the same amount of power dice as bringing an item, but the new item will have various bonuses. Upgrading can be done at the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will require the required amount of Minerals and Erons as well as a power dice of each type. These can be bought with Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also give an additional reward for each tier of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled once and will be made using the same materials as the original item.
Rerolling
If a player has enough to reroll tokens, they are able to roll any item they have acquired during the game. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced with a level 1 version in another set. Reroll tokens are sold at the store for a small sum of in-game currency. They are non-refundable. The new item upgrade d will still have the extra benefits of the previous one however its stats will differ also.
Players can alter the identification of equipment in addition to rolling it again by interacting with an NPC upgrader. This will change the identity from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, all the while maintaining its base stats and required attributes. The change will be permanent and will affect all characters who own the gear.
The player can also upgrade the item level for any equipment equipped. This is done by engaging with an upgrader NPC and getting upgrade components. The cost of upgrading will depend on the upgrade track, item type and number of crests. In the case of weapons, each step will add an additional 5percent to the damage.
Upgrades can boost the effectiveness of an item, but they also decrease its quality. Therefore, it is important to keep both in check. Some items may not be worth upgrading at all and some will require to be upgraded in order to realize their potential. A player might want to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modification ( percent block chance, or FHR) in order to discover what it could become.
The primary reason why people reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is because they are trying to obtain a particular weapon or character that they can't otherwise obtain. These items can be costly and time-consuming and the RNG gods aren't always willing to cooperate. The only options left are to invest real money or grind a lot. For this reason, rerolling is a very popular option in Genshin Impact.
Leveling

You can select whether to upgrade the weapon or armor after upgrading an item. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I think it was meant to be a way to increase the value of rare items, but since the majority of gear drops quickly and is only upgraded after a certain amount of levels it is likely that you will replace the item before it becomes old enough. It's also not worth it to upgrade items with gem sockets since the value of the gem will be greater than the higher ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
If you click on the upgrade option on an item, you will be presented with a small window displaying the upgrade template for the item and the cost of crest and Valorstone to increase the item level. Armor and weapons will have different costs, with the former generally being more expensive. The upgrade template lists the stats that will be added to an upgraded item, along with its current ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and crest is calculated using the item's current Ilvl and the upgrade templates. The ilvl is also reduced by the upgrade templates lvl reduction percentage. For example, a weapon with an upgrade decrease of 8% will reduce its value by 8-8 percent.
The item will be upgraded to other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage, and block, parry, and dodge rating, in addition to the base level. The increases are also dependent on the upgrade template.
The amount of damage and defense that the item will receive when it is leveled can be shown below the cost and upgrade decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. Apart from the practice equipment, all other items and armor get these same stats when upgraded. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can command more than a non-upp’d version. The same applies to other armor pieces such as circlets or tiaras.
